Sanctuary Development LLC was founded by Tom Nelson in 2005 with the goal of providing a unique and natural living experience in Oldham County, KY. The Sanctuary offers a small, private community environment with many natural features providing privacy with a shared park-like corridor weaving its way through the property.

Mr. Nelson is an experienced engineer, entrepreneur, inventor and dedicated naturalist. He founded Soltech, Inc, an Engineering/Manufacturing company, in 1983. Soltech provided energy conservation products and solutions to a wide variety of industries and manufacturers. Under Mr. Nelson's leadership, the company grew revenues by over 70% annually. Starting with 12 employees and one plant, the company had grown to 10 facilities and over 450 employees by the time it was acquired by Owens Corning in 1995.

As an inventor with over 50 United States and foreign patents, Mr. Nelson has dedicated his professional life to providing unique opportunities through innovation. We believe that The Sanctuary is one such innovation and that it will be appreciated by those that choose to take advantage of it.
